First Thoughts

As a little girl, I remembered being a total tomboy but had a strong affinity for Barbie and her friends. Maybe it was her instant transformations with the change of an outfit or her dynamic love life with Ken but I was fascinated with creating a perfect life for her. While I conveniently never noticed that she is heinously physically disproportional, she still kept me intrigued. Barbie’s careers were designed to show that women can take on a variety of roles in life, including everything from a paleontologist to a UNICEF Summit diplomat (not kidding). Surprisingly she was never a construction worker, which seems odd because it is a pretty easy outfit for her to slip in to. OK enough with my ramblings about what Barbie would have been like as a construction worker – back to the real Construction Barbies.
